Brewer Game 9-11-11

We had a great day at the ball field.  The boys had never been to a Brewer game so we finally decided they were all at a good age to attend one.  They were all so well behaved considering how warm it was that day.  The kids also ran the bases after the game, but unfortunately my camera would not work so I didn't get any pictures of them doing that.

Just a little warm!  It looks like he has been running around, but he was just sitting and watching the game.

So emotional on this day......9/11

Drew telling the ladies to give him a call.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Nonni at the game.  She was with us, but sitting on the other side of me.

Thanks again for coming with us Nonni and Pap-Pap we had blast!

Our choice = my DREAM!

For many of you, you know that my mom has started an Empty Bowls event in Stevens Point, WI and then again down in Green Valley, AZ.  Empty bowls is an amazing event that raises money for hunger. When Jay and I were deciding on where were going to stay for his job, being able to start or help start an Empty Bowls in our community was a big part of it.
Well, that DREAM has finally come true!
I am now on the Marshfield Empty Bowls planning committee!!  I can't even tell you how excited I am about being able to do this.  I have not been this excited about something in a long time.  Don't get me wrong having kids, the things they do, Jay starting his job and buying our new home are all very exciting.  But this is MY dream and I now feel that I am starting to fall in place with my purpose in life.  Yes, I know that raising our kids and keeping our home is also my purpose in life, but this is my own challenge now.  I can't wait for the kids to be able to get involved.

Empty Bowls is going to be February 18th, 2012!

I will keep you posted on how things are going. I am hoping you can sense the excitement that I am having just by reading this. I have been smiling ever since I found this out!

DC and Rehoboth Beach, DE

Rehoboth Beach, DE

Reed loved body surfing!

When we first got to the beach, the waves were really rough and strong so the younger boys had to stay close by.

Drew loved the surfing as well.

Getting  ready to enjoy the Fireworks on the beach.

FUNLAND!!!!!

The first night we went to Funland, we didn't go until 10pm.  Reed was with a friend for a sleep over, so we just took the younger two.  They had a blast!  Of course at that time of night their was no one else their age there so they were able to basically have the whole place to their selves.  What fun!

Brett had no fear of any of the rides.  He went on just about everything that the older boys did. The only thing he couldn't do was the bumper cars.

We celebrated; my birthday, Brett's birthday, our anniversary and Bob's birthday.

Assateague Island National Seashore

Assateague Island is beautiful!!  If you love going to the ocean, you will LOVE going here. It is a National Seashore that goes on for miles.  There are also wild ponies everywhere. I could have spent our whole vacation just sitting on the beach here. There were no buildings to block your view and it wasn't over populated with people.  Just peaceful!

This guy was right next to our car!

Washington, DC

We started our trip in Washington, DC at Uncles Bob and Alfred's brownstone.  Reed loved DC and could have spent a couple more days there, but the younger didn't have as much interest.

Brett helping Uncle Alfred with some yard work.

It was this whole crew's first time at a major league game.  We had a blast!

We can't thank Bob and Alfred enough for all they did for us while we were there.  The boys still talk about how much fun they had and ask when can we go back.  We are hoping soon!
Thanks again!
Love All of Us!
