Graduation from residency!!!!

Our "little" family at Jay's white coat ceremony at Des Moines University.

Our growing family at Jay's graduation from Medical School from DMU.

What a complete family at graduation from residency at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, WI.

Gundersen has a graduation ceremony where family and friends are able to attend. It is a great opportunity to hear where all the graduates are going and who has touched/taught them over their residency experience.  Jay was the first one of his internal medicine class to get up and talk.  Jay has an amazing gift to be able to speak to a large crowd (not something I am good at).  He brought tears to all of us when he started thanking his parents and my parents.  But when the tears started to really come for all us,  was when he thanked his "3 boys" for all they had sacrificed for him. He also thanked me for all of the support and sacrifices.  Jay has told me this a thousand times, but to hear him talk about his family that way in front of a room of his peers was very heartfelt and emotional. I am so glad we were all able to make it!  Thanks again to our parents for coming and supporting Jay!  Only one more graduation and move to go!!!  We promise:)

Family time, last few days in La Crosse....

Chooo Chooooo Guess who is 2!

It is hard to believe that Brett is already 2 years old! He has grown so much in the last couple of months. He is starting to put sentences together and is always busy. He loves to play with his brothers, but it also perfectly content just playing alone. He is always making us laugh at the silly things he does or says. He is the easiest kid ever!
Over the last couple of months he has really gotten into Thomas the Train and loves it! It also helps that his older brothers love to play with trains as well.
Brett loves to be outdoors. We can't keep him in the house, he would be outside all day if we would let him.
What made this birthday so special for Brett as well, was both set up grandparents were able to be here! This is the first time for him and he was so excited!

Jay did a great job decorating his cake!

Brett loves his water table! He loves playing with it even with out water in it. This is going to be a toy that we can play with all year long! Thanks Nonni and Pap-Pap!!!

Thomas train station! He couldn't wait to get it out of the box. This has been played with just as much as the water table. Thank you Baba and Barbie!!

Brett's own Thomas blanket. The older two have had a blanket like this for awhile (Reed Sponge Bob and Drew's Cars) and Brett was always trying to steal it from them. He was so happy when he got one that was all his.

This was the cutest idea ever! Nick and Chelsea sent us a bouquet of cookies for Brett's and my birthday. They were so yummy! Thank you Uncle Nick and Chelsea!!

Below is a picture review of the year. Brett has grown so much, unfortunately he hasn't gained a bunch of weight (still wearing 6-9 mo shorts) but has gotten much taller. He has the best personality in the world! He puts a smile on anyones face when he walks in the room.
